HAPPY MAY DAY!
I remember as a child running from house to house with a little basket of hand picked flowers and little candies. We would knock on our neighbor's door, leave the basket, and then run. Don't ask me why we ran, I just remembering running and laughing all the way.
May this day be filled with joy and many blooming memories!
(Here in Minnesota it is a whopping thirty some odd degrees this morning. Can't remember the first of May this cold...EVER!)
My sister and I would drive m i l e s to deliver May Baskets to one another and our children . . . only she knows why . . . I love her for that!

My daughter made me a cone-shaped construction paper May basket at school, and filled it with her own construction paper flowers and hearts. She was good enough to hide it until Sunday morning, when she "secretly" posted it at my bedroom door, and didn't claim ownership of it until I tickled it out of her. So funny how the traditions continue. This is a memory I'll truely keep.

Heather and I were just talking about this yesterday! I remember the running and the laughing and the fun it all was! Most of my childhood baskets were made of construction paper and staples with real grass filler. Dandelions were the most often picked flower. These adventures took place in southwestern Iowa and I always remember it being warm and green - not like yesterday at all!
