Church Plant Update :.

Many are asking about the next step in the church planting adventure and what the interest has been thus far, so here goes...

The third week in October, my husband and I will fly to St. Petersburg, Florida for four days of intensive evaluation by the Covenant Church church plant gurus. The assessment process is described to me somewhat like the reality shows "Survivor" or "Apprentice" which push at who you are to reveal both your gifts and frailties. Fifteen skilled interviewers and group facilitators will be looking at us to get to know us better. If the reality show concept doesn't work for you then think of our time in Florida as a very L-O-N-G job interview. By the end of the assessment, we will have a pretty good idea if there will be a next step with the Evangelical Covenant Church. 

The feedback I have received about this little adventure has been very positive thus far. Today in church six people came up to me with a desire to find out more information as it comes available. I could see the gleam of excitement in their eyes and sense the longing in their hearts as we talked. I think there are now twenty plus people on the "very interested list." These are people who have gone out of their way to seek me out to know more.

Even with all the unknowns and the what ifs, there are many hearty adventurers out there ready to sail into the horizon together. God is calling and going before. How absolutely amazing! How wonderfully God!
