A Choice :.
With many options looming of places to go and people to see, I have made a decision which helps cut through the choices and voices calling to me...find company with the ancients, the ones who have gone before.
As the journey of creating a new form of church community unfolds, I am longing for something old and more sure. I am growing tired of the new, the questions, the wondering and want something with a track record and some lived experience. For this reason I am finding companions with those from the Benedictine tradition, men and women who have through consecrated life have something to say about a particular way of embodying the Gospel. Through the writings of a variety of authors, I find a sense of place and words to describe the something I am looking for--a sure foundation from which to build.
. . . hmmm . . . seems that is the same direction you gave me . . . (smile)

Jan,
I sooooooooooo resonate with that feeling, that statement. My heart exactly. I think that is a part of what has energized and motivated the more recent turns that my journey has taken.
And it won't surprise you with what you know of me, that this "decision" that you have made is a wise one, a deep one, a good one.
Peace my sister
