In the last month we have seen all four of our children for long luxurious lengths of time. First our middle son was home from college on his Spring break. Next we visited our daughter and husband in their new digs. It was lovely seeing them in their own habitat. When we returned our eldest son showed up at our door, ready to stay at our house while he worked these past weeks a few miles down the road. The unexpected visits from and with our oldest children brought laughter and smiles to our youngest son--who was on his own Spring break--as they talked and played games into all hours of the night.
With all the visiting going on, I lost my downstairs office space which also serves as a guest room. As you can imagine, it is rather hard to work on the computer while someone is sleeping in the bed next to it. On Sunday, the computer was moved back upstairs to an empty room. Instead of looking up at the sky from a window well, I now look at the expanse of open water across the street. With the windows wide open, I can hear the song of birds and other wild things nearby. The room is rather bare but it is a lovely change for a season all about change.
How quickly Spring has come!

. . . heaven . . .
