Aggressive

Characterized by or inclined toward vigorous or intensive medical treatment: an aggressive approach to treating the infection.
Intense or harsh, as in color.

I saw my surgeon yesterday. I think the word "aggressive" was used six times in the course of a fifteen minute conversation. I may be exaggerating but it seemed like six or maybe it was ten times. No matter, the word was used, I am not mistaken.

The good news. The cancer did not spread past my breast. The bad news. It is nasty form of cancer that does not respond to some of the newer targeted forms of chemotherapy. It is vigorous and most likely waiting, hidden, ready to build a new fortress of encampment.

I see the oncologist on August 21st. Then I will know more what kind of counter attack is needed to rout out this invader of my body.
