There is a new chapter in my life and its entitled "Cancer."
Such an odd word,
such an odd time,
such an odd experience to own as one's own.
Wednesday I will have surgery.
Wednesday I will know if the cancer is more than a lump in my breast.
Please pray for me and my family and my church family at Abbey Way. We are all walking into this liminal space together, leaning into the strong arms of a mighty God who does not slumber or sleep.
God is with us. Pray we all know it in our innermost parts.
We're praying for you still as you recover and heal. I pray that you will know his presence and rejoice in his love. Wherever it is you are going, into all the unfamiliar pathways, you know your Guide very well.

Hello Dear Friend!
I wish I could be there to hold your hand and sing a prayer or two and marvel with you at God's goodness in every situation. (What is He up to NOW?!) May His love and peace and joy pour out and through you abundantly and may all your needs be met through Him and His children.
Our prayers are of course with you ~

Father God, Creator and Healer, we lift up Jan to you during this time. Bring healing to her body. Give the doctors wisdom and guidance in their work. Bring a deep awareness of your peace and love to her heart. In Jesus' Name, I we pray. Christopher
