Yesterday I saw two eagles sitting on the power poles across the lake from our house. They were so noble on their perch so far above the earth. I imagine they would rather have been on a tree top or a mountain ledge instead of a man-made pole but even so, they did not lose their ability to draw my attention to their strength. Even when they are found in a different context, they are still EAGLES.
I am aware of my need to continue to be who I am no matter what circumstances bring. I long to be like the eagles who live like they were created to be no matter where they are. Admittedly, this is harder than it sounds sometimes. But the promise is that is on eagles' wings we fly. Holding on we soar.
Maybe I can learn something from their still gaze from a lofty perspective.
